Farm unions in Punjab will observe a ‘complete’ shutdown from 6 am to 6 pm on Friday. The ‘Bharat Bandh’ has been called by farmer unions protesting against the three agri laws.

Bathinda: Milk and vegetable supply remained affected due to Bharat Bandh call as milk vendor association and vegetable retail and wholesale suppliers suspended the work in support of the farmers.

Lawyers, too, suspend their work in support for Bharat bandh. Private buses also remained off road. Farmers blocked Bathinda-Chandigarh national highway at Lehra Bega toll plaza in Bucho and Rampura Phul. Farmers also blocked Bathinda-Amritsar national highway at Jeeda toll plaza in district.

Zirakpur: Chandigarh-Ambala road blocked by farmers at McDonald point. Blockade at K-Area lights on Zirakpur-Panchkula road. Train services and road transport effected, all establishments closed.

Karnal: Passengers travelling in New Delhi-Katra Vande Bharat Express towards Katra stranded at Karnal Railway Station after the train was halted due to railway tracks blockade in Ambala.
